2022 MANNEQUIN COLLECTION
The 2022 Mannequin series explores the world’s and our own fascination with the human form. The labels were brought to life with bright colors and a “Architectural Digest magazine cover- feel” heightening the sense of desire for people to be attracted to form(s) similar to our own.

FIGURE COMPLEX
Figure Complex brings to life the mannequin form which generally hasn’t changed since the 15th century and is still used today for the display of garments and fashion. The juxtaposition of the back label shows a picture of a mannequin on the “red carpet” which is interesting when one considers the “plastic” expressionless nature of the mannequin coupled with the ironic / impossible desire to be in the spotlight.

The wine is dark red in color with a tinge of purple. On the nose is dark cherry with hints of baking spice and forest floor. On the palate, tannins give way to red licorice, Black Tartarian cherries, with hints of clove and violets finishing with cedar and plum notes.

Faces deep dives on this similar theme in that the front label shows a rippling of a singular, expression-focused face representative of the different facets / faces a person may have and the malleability of one’s character. The back label focuses similarly on the identical, expressionless face of the mannequin with only one of the faces subtly struggling to break out of this mold.

Aromas of honey dew melon and tropical fruits give way to a palate of crisp green apple, star fruit, Asian pear, pineapple and hints of lemon zest. It is nicely balanced with a lingering finish of apricot cream, hints of vanilla and toasted almond brioche.

Aromas of pineapple and starfruit swirl with hints of vanilla on the nose, while flavors of fresh guava and lemon curd take center stage on the palate.
